Menu Bar

Lives in your menu bar. See spending, quotas, and model breakdowns at a glance — click to expand. Updates automatically in the background.

Claude Code

Two tracking modes:

  • Estimate mode — parses your local logs at ~/.claude/projects/ to calculate costs and quota usage. Fully offline, but only tracks CLI sessions — not web chats or other external usage.
  • Precise mode — uses OAuth to pull usage data directly from the Anthropic API. This is a read-only session token (not your API key) that refreshes automatically and is stored securely in Keychain.

Cursor

Scans Cursor's local SQLite database for your session token, then fetches usage data from the Cursor API. This is your existing login session — not an API key. It expires automatically and is stored securely in Keychain.

  • Community-sourced limits — Cursor doesn't publish official quota numbers, so Auto/Premium limits are based on shared user research and may update over time.

TokenKite never has access to your API keys.
